work based project
Needed to take photos of people in their working environment, so I went to Whiskey River and got some :) along with some stupid ones.

I prefer the top one and think I'll stick with it. As I was working with two of my good friends, we obviously couldn't keep serious for more than 5 minutes.

Mask
My first project at college this year was "Mask". It states the obvious, we have to buy a mask and have a model and take photos of it. My initial idea was to do make up like Rankin, as make up is a everyday mask we wear yes? i wanted to go along the lines of this...
I LOVE Rankins work, he's most of my inspiration and his images are so crisp and amazing; there is not one photo that doesn't catch my eye.
His make up set range from the very weird to the plain and simple, the one to the left was my favorite I've seen for a while. The black and blue against the white grabbed my attention straight away, and how her hair is sliced back and painted white too make this image so amazing. The colour of her eyes complement the blue paint and I really wanted to try something out like this. But I knew this would be very very hard to try and re-create as it was done by professionals and i'm defiantly not a professional at make up.
I loved the being painted white idea though, so I used that and bought a Hannibal mask from the fancy dress shop.
I used Anna as my model as she's up for anything, I shot on 120 film (bloody love them cameras) and some on digi as it'd take a while to get my film back. I got it back yesterday and the photos are amazing, so fresh and clear compared to digi. But as I haven't scanned them in, here's some digi shots from the shoot.

run in the front.
This was the sky tonight from my window, it was so so so nice. I love the sunset I get in my room, in fact I just love sunsets. I take a lot of photos of them from the same place each week so I may start my own little project up and take one every night and watch how they change as it gets closer to winter.
Tonight Anna picked me up and we went for a drink, I wore my new cardigan and Adam said I looked like a wizard...? I'm getting the cold so bad so my boss made me a whiskey and honey drink mmm

I've been looking for some black pumps for so long to go with outfits and all of them hurt or just don't look right. I headed to new look got the pumps in the bottom photo with the chain across for £14.99 (without student discount) they're SO comfy. The other pair are from Topshop for £28 again without discount, Emily had them on today and I loved them so I went and got them. I am in LOVEEEEE with them.
I also got a big chunky burgundy cardigan from Primark to match my brown one, and some glittery nail varnish from Topshop :) x

LEEDS.
So! Our friend Ian moved to uni in Leeds and asked the girls down for a night out. Of course we accepted but we kept it on the down low as he hadn't even asked his own brother, so we didn't talk about it at work or tell any of the lads. We went to "Sunday club" at Whiskey River Bar with everyone for Alex's birthday and I was sat with Andy and he was asking what I was doing on Tuesday (going to Leeds) and I kept saying "oh nothing" until he went "going to Leeds?" and I said yeah and he came out with "so are we". They'd booked a apartment down there and we'd all been trying to keep it from each other and all thought we were off with each other cos we knew - when we didn't.
On Tuesday morning I was at college then went home packed and went down Annas, piled in the car with her Libby and Jess and set off about 4pm. Such a god road trip with the girls, we had the tunes on the iPod and a box of chocolates.
We got there about 6 and piled into Ians room and filled it full of clothes, shoes, perfume and girly things; he wasn't happy to say the least. The dress I wore was from Miss Selfridge, it was £39 but I got it for £31 with discount. I loved it so much and so did everyone else (I think cos my boobs were on show) but I felt good in it because it fit my shape really good and the mesh sides complimented my hips in which I hate.
We got quite drunk in the flat and booked some taxis to take us to tiger tiger. The drinks were cheap the music was bouncing and I was having such a good time, the the boys showed up. We'd promised not to go to the same place and Leeds is pretty big and considering it was freshers week there was loads of things going on. I didn't mind, I'm glad they were there but people have fell out and so on. We went in The White Room and saw poles and a stage and got up, never been so drunk in my life. I have bruises on my inner thighs from spinning round them. Libby and I got pulled into the DJ booth by the DJ's and we were dancing until a bouncer came over and kicked us out the club...but we got back in :p It was a very good night out and I was loving it until I had a asthma attack...in the middle of a club on the ground floor. So I run to the nearest fire exit with Libby and Adam and it turns out to be a cupboard so I collapse down a wall until a bouncer tells me to move; Adam was like "she can't breath!" and she dragged me up and pushed me up the stairs! I got outside and Libby was like "oh subway" and got us subway. By this time we'd lost everyone, everyone had split up and we didn't know anything. So we went back to Ians and made a bed up and I rang Adam to make sure everyone was ok, he didn't know where anyone was. he went back up into Leeds to find them and I stayed on the phone with him the whole time in case he got stabbed. When they'd got home safe he rang me back and we talked for a while until I fell asleep on the phone.
Woke up very very rough and the car journey home was Mumford and Sons only. I had such a good night!

late night emotional wreck
I haven't posted for a while but I've been busy doing my room out, working and being drunk/hungover. I go back to college on Tuesday finally; to be honest I can't wait...so bored now in the house.
I've been at work tonight and within 10 minutes of being there I managed to slice my finger open on a boston shaker, I'm not normally squeamish when I cut myself or see blood, but this one was deep and on my knuckle and as I was rinsing it as it wouldn't stop bleeding the skin flopped back and I was nearly sick. I went pale and really thought I was gunna pass out :( so I had a bright blue plaster on all night in which I couldn't bend my finger.
Then the really sad part came, my friend Will who I've worked with and spent a lot of time with (and his family) is moving to Uni in Glasgow tomorrow and he came down to Ebony to get a present and say his goodbyes and I was on my break and he came back out with a bottle of vintage Verve. I stood up from the seat i was on and gave him a hug and as I pulled away he was crying, and then I started crying and he couldn't speak or say anything to me and we just stood crying like knobs.
I love Will, i always have. We get the best photos and he just makes me so happy. I'm gunna miss him when he's away cos when I'm with Anna (his sister) he's always around. So...I wish him every bit of luck I can to him.
